    You can’t bust me…

…if its not marijuana. Thanks for pulling the weeds, officers.

CORPUS CHRISTI – What was initally thought to be one of the largest marijuana plant seizures in the police department’s history turned into what amounted to a city park cleanup Thursday night.

Shortly after 8:00pm, a teen riding his bike through Waldron Park in Flour Bluff discovered what he thought were marijuana plants growing there.

Police later hauled away 300-400 medium-sized plants that they also believed was marijuana.

If fact, officers only stopped collecting the plants because it got too dark, and planned to return in the morning to look around for more.

However, after spending more than an hour removing and tagging the hundreds of plants, then hauling it all down the police department downtown, testing revealed that none of it was marijuana at all.

Wow, first I get sent to detox and charged with public intoxication (despite having been clean and sober for 11 months and was that night too. I LITERALLY did nothing illegal at all). …now this…Thanks Texas. Let’s start a rumor that police officers in Texas are injected with an RFID chip when they join, which release “stupidity” into their body

    Happy four-twenty: it’s not hitler’s birthday

    From SF Chronicle

“(04-18) 19:15 PDT DALY CITY — People have been toking up in the Cow Palace parking lot for more than 50 years.

This was the first time it was legal.

The International Cannabis and Hemp Expo, the first trade show in the United States to allow on-site pot smoking, attracted an estimated 15,000 enthusiasts to Daly City over the weekend. They talked bud, sold products ranging from a $500 water bong to a $19,500 mobile grow house, and discussed how efforts to legalize marijuana would impact their livelihoods.

“We’re exercising our rights as patients to peacefully gather,” said Bob Katzman, chief operating officer of the expo, as he stood near the designated puffing area. “We’re here to talk about changing some of the existing laws, but we’re not here to break the law.”

Katzman said it took organizers four years to negotiate a permit with a venue that would allow marijuana consumption. It wasn’t possible, he said, until a “massive change in the political climate.”

That climate is set to be tested in November, when an initiative that would legalize marijuana is to be decided by California voters. Now, marijuana is available only to those with a medicinal use card……”

i like illegal pot. i like that it’s unbranded and ungoverned. i think peeps are loosing respect for the plant. i think cannabis is a special plant and the energy around the plant will shift when it’s a gas station pickup on a lousy day. but aside from that, i love you guys 🙂 wink wink

    • perpetuallyphil 4:06 am on April 21, 2010 Permalink

true. corporate pot does not sounds like a good thing. marlboro green spliff brand ciggies….

what i hate is that there were 847,863 marijuanna related arrests in the USA last year and in 2007 it is estimated there were be between 143 and 190 million persons using the ganja. Any of them could have been arrested for using medicine. many of us as well.
i don’t like all the peeps in jail… would rather my brothers and sisters were out in the world living.

i would also like some local, organic pot i could buy from my hommie at the pot farmers market down the street form my house. 🙂

    mexico legalizes it ~ish

“Mexico decriminalized small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and heroin [LSD too] on Friday — a move that prosecutors say makes sense even in the midst of the government’s grueling battle against drug traffickers. Prosecutors said the new law sets clear limits that keep Mexico’s corruption-prone police from shaking down casual users and offers addicts free treatment to keep growing domestic drug use in check…….”

funny you should mention that …when I showed this to some friends one of them said it reminded them of the south park episode where they have the hippy jam fest. “Is there anything more selfish than listening to music and smoking pot all day” I think is the line

When I think of ideas…I keep thinking of a stage (musicians to guide the collective consciousness there)

but when trying to get more creative with it… I guess you could collect an object from everyone who was willing then building something out of it. I can’t for sure say where this would lead. But I bet a lot of trash is left behind at that :/

Another thought is to pass a singular object around the entire crowd and everyone could write on it/add on to it ….what better place to pass around a signatures thingy for anti pot laws or you could walk around getting signatures instead of passing it.

More ideas guys? 🙂 Max is right…I do however keep going back to a stage or music or something to really guide the whole collective that is there… it’s tried and true, it’s embedded in our genetics..music and dance are BRILLIANTLY BEAUTIFUL…art art art

i know how to save the economy

An Ontario company says it has secured $2 million from investors to open the first North American bio-processing plant for industrial hemp.

Stonehedge Bio-Resources Inc., based in Stirling, Ont., north of Belleville, announced it plans to open a bio-refining facility this year.

Hemp is the common name for the cannabis plant, which has fibrous roots, stalks and stems useful for producing a variety of products and seeds that are edible. The flowers, buds and leaves of some strains are used to produce drugs such as marijuana and hashish because they contain a psychoactive compound called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), but industrial hemp is bred to produce very little THC.

The Stonehedge plant would produce Hemcrete, a limestone building material similar to concrete that is considered to be more environmentally friendly.

The company also expects to produce more than $17 million per year in renewable hemp fibre, wood-like chips, pellets, matting and seed products.

Stonehedge Bio-Resources says it plans to start with five employees this year and employ up to 27 people by 2011.

The company says the global renewable and bioproducts industry is expected to exceed $125 billion in revenues by 2010.

Filmed in Hungary, in a very classic documentary/interview format, documenting the incredibly intelligent responses from advocates of the psychedelic experience in Hungary.
