Announcement: Peyote is Beautiful!
I talked to someone in Canada at the Eclipse festival who knew a lot about this plant. He told me that in cultivation, it can take 8-10 years, and in the wild…sometimes 60 years for a mature specimen. The slowest growing planet on the planet he said. I don’t believe I have the imagination to conceive of what that experience must be like.

I grew San Pedro cacti for awhile. San Pedro is interesting in that it produces more mescaline that peyote, yet it is in an even better loophole of American legality than peyote is. San Pedro grows in some people’s front yards and they don’t even realize that it produces mescaline. It’s totally legal to have. Peyote is only legal if you are of certain Native tribes.
