“The Book of Mormon” by Trey Parker and Matt Stone
THE BOOK OF MORMON, a new original musical comedy from “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q composer and co-creator Robert Lopez, will premiere on Broadway in March, 2011. The world premiere will be directed by Jason Moore and Trey Parker.
If anybody hasn’t seen the episode of South Park that tells the story of the Book of Mormon, I highly recommend you watch it. It’s hysterical and quite spot on, here’s a link:

“While the supernova can be seen, it can’t be heard, as sound waves cannot travel through space. But what if the light waves emitted by the exploding star and other cosmological phenomena could be translated into sound? That’s the idea behind a “Rhythms of the Universe,” a musical project to “sonify” the universe by Grateful Dead percussionist and Grammy award-winning artist Mickey Hart that caught the attention of Nobel Prize-winning astrophysicist George Smoot of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.”

Can’t help but notice how shitty the iPhone wordpress app is. That said, holler untz to the annual meteor shower that will be hopefully raging at lost gulch tonight. Same one that helped us bid farewell to the string cheese incident two years ago…

11th, 12th, and 13th… saw some last night

I have an interesting thing to mention with my own personal experience with meteors and being connected with the Earth’s response.
Will try n keep it short and to the point:When I was about 7-10 my family and I were staying at some friends place outside of Vail somewhere…I woke up in the middle of the night, had this distinct feeling and was drawn to the room my parents were in and felt like looking off in the distance out their window….I saw the most spectacular site…a meteor STORM (a storm is where you see them literally every second constantly) in the distance over the moonlit mountains range.
Fast forward to age 16 or so, two of my friends and I were staying in one of their relatives place somewhere outside of Boston. DXM, Salvia, and alc. were abroad this night…and after resting a bit in the night…I woke up with this same distinct feeling that I remembered as a child. I walked to the patio door, swung the curtains open and there was ANOTHER METEOR SHOWER going on right in front of us over the ocean. So I woke them up, and because my vision was distorted I couldn’t figure out what the red lights on the land were (i thought it was the meteors glowing in the ocean and moving around in the water)..but, we finally figured out it was car lights on a distant road hehe.
Enjoy the next two nights

How it works
Project 10100 (pronounced Project 10 to the 100th) is a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible. Here’s how to join in.
1. Send us your idea by October 20th.
Simply fill out the submission form giving us the gist of your idea. You can supplement your proposal with a 30-second video.
2. Voting on ideas begins on January 27th.
We’ll post a selection of one hundred ideas and ask you, the public, to choose twenty semi-finalists. Then an advisory board will select up to five final ideas. Send me a reminder to vote.
3. We’ll help bring these ideas to life.
We’re committing $10 million to implement these projects, and our goal is to help as many people as possible. So remember, money may provide a jumpstart, but the idea is the thing.
Good luck, and may those who help the most win.
